After finishing my bachelor thesis in animal management with specialisation in wildlife management and communication at the Van Hall Larenstein in the Netherlands, I conducted my Master thesis in Wildlife Ecology and Wildlife Management at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna. In 2015, I successfully completed my doctoral thesis at the University of Bern, at the Institute of Evolution and Ecology. During the PhD studies, I carried out three field experiments with free-living great tits (Parus major) in Forst close to Bern. I studied how the availability of dietary antioxidants affects the parent-offspring-conflict, the formation of oxidative stress and offspring development. I have been working at KORA since 2016, where I am responsible for the wildcat project.
