I studied General Biology at the University of Fribourg and Wildlife Biology and Conservation at Edinburgh Napier University. I conducted my MSc thesis on the otter population on the Scottish Island of Raasay, looking at population numbers and diet. I worked as an assistant for KORA from 2012 until early 2023. During the years I worked for KORA, I was involved in lynx and wildcat monitoring, updating the website, layout tasks and the animal experiment permits, among other things. Since 2012 I have been working as an assistant for the IUCN SSC Cat Specialist Group. Since 2017, I am the Red List Authority Coordinator for the Felidae for the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. Among other things, I assist with international projects, commissioned work and the development of conservation strategies for cat species, help with the production of Cat News and the processing and updating of the libraries and website. I also run training courses for the evaluation of species for the international Red List. I am particularly interested in species and nature conservation, mammal ecology and management, and how conservation can be made more efficient.
