As co-founder and former director of the program KORA, I have been involved in research projects in the field of carnivore ecology for some decades, wherein I have also supervised several academic theses. My main interests are the biology, ecology and conservation of wild cat species and the re-integration of large carnivores in the cultural landscape. As co-chair of the IUCN SSC Cat Specialist Group, I am involved in programs for the conservation of all wild cat species over the entire globe.
