Three Wildcats Returned to the Wild
On 7 and 8 April, three wildcats were reintroduced into the wild in the cantons of Basel-Landschaft and Vaud. One of the three had been removed from its natural habitat by a private individual by mistake the previous year, while two others had been taken into human care after their mother was run over. The animals have now been fitted with transmitters and their reintroduction into the wild will be scientifically monitored.
