Germany: Swiss Lynx With Offspring Caught on Camera Trap
In the western part of the Ore Mountains, the Swiss lynx Alva was photographed by a camera trap together with two young animals. The female lynx had been captured in spring 2024 in the Swiss Jura as a wild animal and released to support the population as part of the «RELynxSachsen» project. This reproduction marks the first lynx offspring in Saxony in almost 300 years.
